SEVEN - AT HOME

Wednesday, January 23, 2013

This post is being brought to you from the great indoors.  Yes, it is about 10 degrees here in upstate NY.  Absolutely miserable, and although I love fashion and photography, I don't love it enough to lose a finger or two!  As a self employed photographer, especially during the winter months, my look is all about comfort. A typical tuesday often involves browsing the etsysphere, getting orders ready and promoting (let's call this post "on my way to the post office chic") This post definitely reflects my style on a normal (albeit good ) winter day.  I just love the shoes i'm wearing in these shots.  Gap was having a 40% off sale and I scored them for 10 dollars (as well as a couple other cute finds i'll be sure to post soon enough!.  Enjoy!

Don't forget to enter the calendar giveaway

FOUR - THINGS I LOVE THURSDAYS

Thursday, January 17, 2013

So Thursday has quietly snuck up on me again, and that means that Friday is right around the corner.
For my first thursday in the blogosphere, I thought that I would introduce a new weekly post, "Things I Love Thursday".  These are things that I am currently obsessing over (beauty and accessories).  So without further ado :

1.  Michael Kors Bella Watch - My christmas gift from my boyfriend.  Really beautiful and has a 43mm case, slightly smaller than the 45mm oversized runway, perfect if you have smaller wrists!

2.  H&M earrings - dripping with diamonds (or just plastic) but these are awesome earrings.  I can't get enough of them. They make every outfit I wear pop!

3.  Maybelline Color Whisper -  Okay this was the best drugstore find EVER.  Maybelline offers these little lip sticks in a range of colors.  They are sheer so they just leave a faint but shiny color on your lips.  I got the nude, I love it and it will be my go to summer lipstick.

4.  Gold Leaf Hair Barrettes by Dreams By The Sea -  These are just so beautiful and dainty, I plan on wearing them next time I have my hair up! (Thank you Cristalle!)

    4.  Origins Charcoal Mask - I can't say enough good things about this mask.  Just ten minutes and after I wash it off my face it is so super soft!  It's great for in between facials, or just for every other week.

5. The Body Shop Mango Body Butter - I love this so much.  I just picked it up from Ulta last weekend.  It smells like a little bit of summer.  It is made for dryer skin however (I learned the hard way) so don't put to much on or you will be a little oilier than usual.  Ulta was having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on Body Shop products.

6.  Essie Blanc Nail Polish - Love this shade.  I'm currently rocking in my last OOTD post!  I was debating between Blanc and Marshmallow (a little more of a cream color) But Blanc was the winner of the week.

7. Victoria's Secret Bombshell Holiday Fragrance - I scored this in the Semi Annual sale for half off.  I can't complain.  Their bombshell fragrance is one of my absolute favorites.

Have a good Thursday every one!

TWO - OH KELLY

Michael Kors Ring //  ASOS bracelet // Topshop Blazer //  Jcrew Pants (out of stock, similar here)

Have you checked out JCREW lately?  JCREW and JCREW factory have been running a 30% off sale since the New Year too good for this Awestruck shopper to pass up - the sale was a home run!  For a grand total of 46 dollars I nabbed a sweater, a sequined tank, a sequined pocket tee and another shirt from the factory.  The piece-de-resistance is a crazy pair of silk Kelly green pants I found in the regular catalog sale.  THE BEST PART????? $128 reduced to $50 with an ADDITIONAL 30% off!! The pants are madness, but how could I pass them by at that price?  It can be easy to step out of your style comfort zone when prices like that make it even easier to try.  A few days ago that big beautiful box arrived!  Fashion Verdict: I LOVE them.  A little puzzling to me was the stripe going down the side; it's actually navy, not black (*always* read Chelsea). The outfit ideas have been on spin cycle for a few days, and Im hanging them all out on the line.  When spring arrives - or at least BETTER weather,  I will be dressed to perfection in an ensemble very similar to this one.
Yellow pumps are a risk, but mixed with those bright green pants and the more muted navies  there's no turning back now, right?
