Cape Cod is by far one of the most beautiful places in the entire world.  Even though California has my heart, there really is nothing like New England.

Tifft Nature Preserve - Buffalo Fine Art Photography

This past weekend I visited Tifft for the first time since I was a little girl (ah, school field trips).  I was really hoping to catch some deer, but no such luck.  However the beauty of Tifft and all of it's other beautiful creatures made up for it.  It was so beautiful and calming, and the weather this weekend was glorious (unlike the heat right now that's making me want to jump out of my skin.

Buffalo Historical Society - Cherry Blossoms

 

 

 

This is the first time in my 8 years as a photographer that I actually dragged my self up off the couch and got to the historical society in time to see the cherry blossoms bloom.  I am SO glad that I finally did.  It was an amazing experience.  Rows and rows off cherry blossom trees completely cover the sky, it's nothing but white and the smell is incredible.  It was so beautiful, I wish that spring lasted forever.

BOSTON LOVE

 My mother, brother and I ventured to Boston the last day of our cape cod trip this past summer.  There isn't a thing I dislike about this beautiful city.  It is so rich in our countries history and full of beauty.  I hope my photographs reflect a little of that, though I wish I could have had more time exploring the city.  My heart really hurts thinking about the past few days and everything that is going on.  My prayers go out to everyone in Boston as well as anyone effected by this terrible event.

12 - Twinkle

 By far one of my favorite places to take photographs is a magical little location on Elmwood ave.  Sandwiched between two shops is a little ally with tons of little hanging twinkle lights.  Whenever I come here I get a new idea for a photos.  There are so many ways to focus when you are concentrating on getting good bokeh shots.  These are just a few of my favorites.  Some of these are available on my etsy Here and Here.

11 - BOTANIC PANIC

 

I scored this great poppy/orangy red over sized shirt from old navy last weekend.  Only 10 bucks. I adore it and you can beat the price! I got it a few sizes up for an over sized fit.  Josh and I visited the Buffalo botanical gardens yesterday, it's a pretty nice place to visit in the dead of winter. (minus the fact that my hair fell flat!)

10 - BIRTHDAY

 

Taking a little break from style to focus on something more important today (it's my damn blog, right?)  Last year, in late march, after 93 amazing years on this earth my grandmother finally passed away.  It is still something I deal with (all of us family) every single day.  I don't think it's ever going to not hurt, but we are all trying.  After I became a photographer one of my favorite subjects was my grandma. These are a few of my favorites.  Tomorrow would mark her 94th birthday, and this post is your gift grandma Madeline. So is this song.
