THREE - BURBERRY ON A BUDGET

"Burberry" and "budget" are rarely  featured in the same sentence.  Yet, through a little twist of fate, this girl was able to put them together.

Back in September, while visiting the Burberry boutique at my local outlet mall, your's truly was browsing through the sale section.  Then, something wonderful happened. Standing before me was a sign declaring "ADDITIONAL 30% off".  I stood there blinking with amazement, pretty certain I read wrong. Discount overload.  Still trying not to hyperventilate,  I observed a red line slashed through the price sticker of the gorgeous quilted coat.   "Excuse me," I asked the saleswoman, my voice a little too excited,  "Is this coat half off the sale price?" The saleswoman gave me a strange look, a little like I was crazy, and said yes.   

  All in all, it was a pretty good summer day.  I was able to walk out of the store with a $1900 coat for around $300. Burberry Prorsum on a budget? I guess I can check that off my list of things I never thought I'd see.

Ps.  the sales assistant told me to come in around late summer or late spring to snag deals like this one.  That's how my mother scored a beautiful classic trench for about the same price!
